Knotty Pine Pub
Our story
James “Jim” and Leslie Hill have owned Knotty Pine Pub for 25 years. Before owning the bar, Jim held a catering truck from 1980-1997 and had his own business coined “Lunch Box Jim” for many years.
His dream was to one day own his pub. After a lot of hard work, Jim found this diamond in the rough. Soon after owning the bar, Jim decided to join the NJLBA (New Jersey License Association) where he worked very hard to become the Morris County President. He moved up in rank and became the Association's State President for four years and is currently the Morris County Director.
Jim and Leslie have also been involved with many charities over the years. During the holiday season, they collect new winter hats and gloves for Trinity Lutheran Church Soup Kitchen. The hats and gloves are wrapped up by the Sunday school children and handed out on Christmas to families in need. Every Spring hosts the annual "Spring Fling Car Cruise" in which the proceeds go to a charity that the car committee chooses.
About five years ago, Knotty Pine Pub won the Best Wings in New Jersey contest voted on WDHA, and then again at a Super Bowl challenge at the Newark Museum. Ever since then, they have stepped up their game they got a few more wing sauces and extended their menu. Some fan favorites include wings, burgers, daily specials, and Jim's new favorite, fish and chips. They have bar seating, table seating, outdoor seating as well as two TVs outside that you can watch your favorite teams on, and a state-of-the-art jukebox you can control from your phone. You can also enjoy a drink in the "outside cafe" and smoking area where they have horseshoes, a TV to watch the game, and speakers so you can hear the jukebox! We also have 12 beers on tap including Budweiser, Bud Light, Yuengling, Miller Lite, Guinness, Stella, and seasonal beers. During special events, you can find Jim catering outside, tending the bar or even singing his favorite karaoke songs!
